Cinderella

She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day and there's still work to do,
She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I
need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I'd approve of a dress
She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away,
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She will be gone.

Well, she came home today
With a ring on her hand
Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned
She says "Dad, the wedding's due six months away
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
(even one song)
Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

This song has been played on repeat in my itunes for the past few days now. It is also the song that I have been listening to, both first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Yet, I am still not bored of it. De facto, I am far from being bored of this song. (:

This song named "Cinderella" was composed by Steven Curtis Chapman, and was dedicated to her deceased adopted daughter named Maria Sue Chapman. Maria was killed in a car accident involving her elder brother. That's not all, the sad thing is that it happened just hours before the engagement of Emily Chapman(oldest daughter of Steven), and it was less than 10 days ago when Maria celebrated her 5th birthday. Thus, it explains the emotional lyrics in this beautiful song.

From my own reflective ways, I find that this song "Cinderella" teaches the importance of treasuring your loved ones. Cherish and appreciate em very single day, and every single moment of your life. Before they are gone. Thus, part of the lyrics says; "I don't wanna miss even one song, Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight. And she'll be gone"

Oh God! Forgive me, for all the sins I have done. From those moments I have lost control of my angst, to those moments I have lost faith. Today, I had a big tiff with my parents especially my mom, and there are certain things that I shouldn't have spouted out of angst.

"More than anything else, put God's work first and do what He wants. Then the other things will be yours as well" [Matthew 6:33]

Some things seem impossible and tough to change, but I believe, with and by faith, I can change things around. Oh Lord, I need Your strength to push me through! To start things off, I will accompany my parents for grocery shopping at 6am, the wee hours of the morning. Lesser sleep time, but more time spent with my parents.

Born in Sibenik, a small, but beautiful medieval town on Croatia’s Adriatic Coast, the odds seemed stacked against Maksim achieving his dream.

It wasn’t long before it became obvious to Maksim’s teachers that he had a rare talent and the boy was enrolled in Sibenik state music school.

Thereafter, Maksim won his first ever competition in 1993.

The judge stopped the competition after his performance without even considering the other contestants, and announced him as the winner at the age of 18; merely 9 years after learning piano.
